Conference site: The conference will take place in rooms 125 (registration) and 129 in the Simard Building (SMD), at the University of Ottawa. A campus map can be found here and below (click on map, conference building with red circle and arrow!):
Talks:
Talks will be 20 min with 10 min for questions. A projector will be available, as well as a computer (PC). We will have a variety of connection cables available, but please bring your own if you have one (to make sure!). If you would like to use handouts, calculate around 50-60 copies.
Posters:
Posters should be 150cm by 100cm maximum. We will provide poster boards and tacks.

Getting to Ottawa / Ottawa transport
By plane: Ottawa airport is relatively close to the city center. A cab from the airport to downtown will be around $35. It is also possible to take public transportation (bus 97) from the airport. Bus fare is $3.25 (you will need exact change). The bus will leave you close to the conference site (Laurier stop).
By train: The trainstation in Ottawa (VIA Rail) is relatively close to the city center. A cab from the station to downtown will be around $20. Public transportation is also available.
By bus: The bus station in Ottawa is close to the conference site, but not really within walking distance.
Public transportation is very good in Ottawa (OC Transpo). You can find information about routes, etc here, as well as a travel planner to indicate best route from one point to another.
Taxi companies within Ottawa: You can flag taxis on the street, but you can also call ahead to arrange a pick-up.

Printing services
It will not be possible to print or make photocopies at the Linguistics Department during the conference. We recommend that you bring handouts, etc. printed to the conference.
